Orlando Community & Youth Trust, Inc.
Welcome to the Orlando Community & Youth Trust, Inc. a non-profit organization created to support the mission of the City of Orlando Department of Families, Parks, and Recreation (FPR). It is FPR's fundraising entity, making projects possible that are not regularly part of the department's allocated funds. Projects and activities funded by the Trust enhance the quality of life for youth, families, and senior citizens living in the City of Orlando.
Parramore Kidz Zone
In 2006, the City of Orlando launched the Parramore Kidz Zone (PKZ) project to transform a distressed Orlando neighborhood into a healthy place for children. Parramore, home to about 2,000 children, has Orlando’s highest juvenile crime, teen pregnancy, school failure, and child abuse/neglect rates. PKZ intends to “move the needle” on these child well-being indicators by equipping Parramore’s children with the tools and skills needed for successful transition into healthy adulthood.
If you would like to make a donation to support Parramore Kidz Zone, please click on the Family, Parks & Recreation Donate button to the right.
